The alerts feature requires you to login first. If you don't have an account, you can create one for free here. You can set up to fifty alerts.
This is an example of what you would see:

The types of alerts you can set are:
- Closing price rises above (or falls below) a certain amount
- Trade volume in a day exceeds a certain amount
- Percentage increase (or decrease) in the closing price of a stock by 5%, 10%, ... 50%
- Closing price rises above the highest 52 week closing price (or falls below the lowest 52 week closing price)
- Intraday trading price rises above the highest 52 week closing price (or falls below the lowest 52 week closing price)
- News and announcement alerts
- Moving average alerts, for 14-day and 200-day simple moving averages
- Circuit breaker alerts
- Three month and six month average volume breakout alerts
When an alert is triggered, you will receive an email which looks similar to this:
